I have heard different sides and comments of how he loses during his fight yesterday. My father is an avid fan of him, not just because he is Filipino but as well as he sees a great fighter out of “Manny”. We are a bit sad of the result yesterday, maybe because we have never seen him being knocked out. He always pushes through until round 12 but what happened yesterday was really unexpected. It was like people here in our country are in great pain seeing him being punched so hard that he almost fainted.
We were astonished and wonder where that punches came from as Marquez hits his target. It was indeed a legendary moment for all the fans of Marquez. As a Filipino, even if “Manny” loses the game we are still proud of him for being a sport and accepted what happened. Seeing him smiling in the ring afterwards and seemed fine makes us more proud. He even stated on his interview that “that’s boxing, sometimes we win, sometimes we lose” with a smile on his face. The important lesson that Manny has brought to each and everyone is that not all the times we wins and it’s the matter of standing up right after you fall.
