“She spoke of worlds, universes, as if they floated within some mythical, mystical sea, an ocean moved by currents and tides that swept worlds together, drifted them apart, to some pattern incomprehensible to the human mind. Dreams, she said, within the skull of God.”
The entire phrase catches my attention when I was rooming around National Bookstore yesterday, right after I purchased the materials needed for my scrapbook. I am not a book worm but when I ran through this “On Sale Books” I suddenly remember Stepphy of Pretty Little Dreamer on how she always touch my soul on all the things she read and wrote on her lovely blog. I suddenly told myself, I should read to awaken my imagination that was sleeping for a long time already. The title of the book is “The Burning Girl” where Holly Phillips (The author) begins his story with “In a world that felt too little, there lived a girl who saw too much.” I know it’s an interesting story, and the price itself told me that I should really buy it! Imagine from P 1,649.00 down to P 100.00 and it’s the last piece! I shook my head and uttered “this is meant for me!” So I hurried off to the counter and paid my last 100 peso bill. Yes, you heard it right! It’s my last bill for I have spend my money already for my scrapbook. It’s really destined to be mine. I promised I will share the whole story with you right after I read this book.
Moving on, I bought a scrapbook and some materials needed to personalized it. This 27th of January, my best bud Chrissie will be celebrating her 23rd birthday and because I am so broke right now I decided to just give her a scrapbook instead. Where efforts will be shown and I want to give something with my personal touch in ways she could never forgot. I was still compiling our pictures right now, but I designed the front of my scrapbook already.
This is my craft, and I really love doing it. I’m still preparing for the content on what to write inside and what pictures I should put. I’ll get back to you once everything is done but for the mean time let me just share what are the materials needed in creating a scrapbook.
Materials Needed for Scrapbooking:
1) Scrapbook (You can actually recycle something like your notebooks or your magazines just use your creativity, but because I wanted to shorten my time I just purchased this small scrapbook with 10 designed sheets)
2) Stickers ( To make it more special choose your desired sticker that will suit with your personality/the person you are giving)
3) Alphabet Stencils (You can either use a cut out letters from magazine or just buy this to create an alphabet.)
4.) The Pictures (The most important thing that you should put on your scrapbook. For the moment I can’t show you mine but I will be showing you right after I picked our best photos together:))
So that’s it for now, don’t forget to visit my beauty blog which my recent post was all about “Face Paint” and how I did it using my make up. To visit my beauty blog click here.
